Belgian company implants microchips under employees’ skin
The Belgian company Newfusion, specializing in digital marketing, has implanted microchips under the skin of its staff, reports Strana citing Le Soir.

The chip allows the employees to open security doors and use office equipment, including computers.

The implanted micro-device, which stores personal information, is supposed to replace an employee’s electronic badge. The chips are about the same size as a grain of rice and cost approximately 100 euros.

The publication does not report whether the company pays for a chip and implantation under the skin of the staff and what it does in the case of employee’s dismissal.

It is noted that this practice is applied in Belgium for the first time.
