One of the most respected Greek elders and spiritual leaders of the Greek people of the 20th century, St. Paisios of Mount Athos, pointed out that according to prophecies, when the Mosque of Omar is demolished on the Temple Mount of Jerusalem, and the Temple of Solomon is restored in its place, then the Jewish Moshiach (messiah) – the Antichrist will sit there, reports the site "vimaorthodoxias".

“A sign that the fulfillment of the prophecies is approaching will be the destruction of the Omar Mosque in Jerusalem.
