Police open case against Ternopil region resident for posts about OCU

The police opened a criminal case against a resident of the Ternopil region, who published posts about the OCU on his Facebook page, reports Klymenko Time.

Criminal proceedings were initiated under Part 1 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of citizens' equality based on their race, nationality or religious preferences).

The materials on the basis of which the case was opened were sent to the Zbarazh police by mail from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Ternopil region. They reported that a resident of one of the surrounding villages on his Facebook page disseminated information that allegedly incites religious hatred.

In particular, the specified Internet user in his posts called the OCU a lie, which one day "will burst like a soap bubble", wrote about self-ordained hierarchs of the Church of Christ who were introduced into the temple of God by Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople, etc.

The resident of the Ternopil region, in whose posts the SBU saw signs of “insulting the feelings of believers”, learned about the criminal case against him from the news on the Web. According to him, he posted only a few publications that criticize the OCU, all of them remain on his personal Facebook page and "there is nothing special about them".

We remind that earlier the "hierarch" of the OCU Adrian Kulik on social networks called for labelling those who do not love Ukraine "as rootless dogs". The “bishop” was also supported by another scandalous representative of the OCU, “archpriest” Alexander Dediukhin, who said under Kulik’s post on Facebook: “When we come to power, we will do so. We’ll chip all enemies."
